Full Itinerary

Day 1: Beijing Arrival (B)

Ni Hao! Beijing welcome you. Upon your arrival in the capital where the past and the future blends, our local guide will meet and escort you to the hotel. Enjoy the special welcome meal and relax in your room at leisure for the remainder of the day.

Day 2: Beijing (B, L, D)

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, the sightseeing tour to Beijing’s most remarkable sites begins. The first stop is the Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest square which witnessed numerous historical events. Continue the journey with a visit to nearby Forbidden City – the royal residence for emperors for over 500 years. The majestic palace complex is the symbol of the Chinese imperial power and the living preservation of the palatial architectural style.

Enjoy lunch before paying a visit to the Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of 15th-century architecture. Explore the place where generations of emperor prayed for good harvests and the peace of the whole country and catch a glimpse of the locals‘ casual life in the surroundings.
Feast on Beijing specialty, traditional Peking Duck in the dinner before transferring back to the hotel.

Day 3: Beijing (B, L, D)

Refill energy with the hotel buffet breakfast. Today, the World’s Heritage, the Great Wall is waiting for you to discover. Walk along the Mutianyu section of the wall and enjoy the marvelous scenery of the ancient structure winding across the mountainous terrain.
Continue with the afternoon tour after having some snacks. Spend most of the afternoon exploring the Hutongs, a maze of narrow alleys in Beijing. Take a ride on rickshaws through the quaint lanes to gain closer insights into the real local life and experience the traditional culture.

Enjoy dinner then return to the hotel for a good rest.

Day 4: Beijing - Lhasa (B)

Say goodbye to Beijing after breakfast. Follow the tour guide to the city airport for your flight to the next capital – Lhasa, the heart of the Tibet Autonomous Region. Be met and transferred to the accommodation pre-arranged for you. Have leisure time for the rest of the day.

Day 5: Lhasa (B, L, D)

Breakfast is served to you in the hotel before the first full day exploring main sites of the “Place of the Gods” starts. Wander around Barkhor Square and find out the story of the tumultuous past of this political protest center. Catch a glance at the local Tibetan handicrafts shown up in many stalls along the street and observe the Buddhist pilgrims and monks expressing their devotion in this holy place. Drive further to reach the Jokhang Temple, known as Tibet’s most sacred temple which houses numerous venerated artifacts, especially the precious original Jowo Sakyamuni Buddha statue.

Enjoy some local food before heading to the north of Lhasa to visit the last stop of today, Sere Monastery. It is a perfect chance to witness the groups of red-robbed monks practice their debate skills. Afterward, have dinner and transfer back to the hotel.

Day 6: Lhasa (B, L, D)

Fuel up with a hearty breakfast then pay a visit to the most iconic place of Lhasa, the Potala Palace. This giant red and white building complex is recognized as the UNESCO World Heritage as well as a famous museum which reveals the life of Dalai Lama’s generations and displays magnificent murals, decorations, and cravings.

In the afternoon, after the flavorful lunch, go further to the west to Norbulingka. Take a slow walk through this biggest manmade garden in Tibet, enjoy the fascinating structures and soak up in the peaceful atmosphere.
As the sky turns dark, feast on the special Tibetan dinner accompanied by the mesmerizing dance performance. Then, return to the hotel and have a good night.

Day 7: Lhasa – Chengdu (B, L, D)

Wake up to enjoy breakfast on the last day in the magical Tibet. Be driven to the airport for your flight to the new destination of the trip, Chengdu. Once you step your foot into the China Sichuan province’s capital, the local guide will meet and escort you to the hotel. Next, head to a local tea house in Chengdu People’s Park. Get comfortable, refresh yourself with a cup of fragrant tea and experience the traditional Shichuan tea culture with more special activities like “ear cleaning” and “tea doctors”.

After lunch, continue the journey with a visit to picturesque Jin Li Street. Have a first-hand sight of the traditional Chinese houses, a variety of souvenir shops and restaurants along the beautiful alley before tasting a typical Sichuanese cuisine.
Transfer back to the hotel and have a good rest.

Day 8: Chengdu (B, L, D)

Get ready for a full itinerary with a tasty breakfast. Follow the tour guide to meet the symbolic animal of China, adorable giant panda at Chengdu Panda Conservation Center. Gain insights into the endangered black-and-white bears and watch these lovely creatures eat, play and relax in the large enclosures which offer nature-like habitat conditions.

After the lunch at a local restaurant, drive to gaze out at Jinsha Site Museum where several thousands of relics are on display. Come and witness various collections of artifacts and ancient treasures, typically the Sunbird Gold Disk and the Giant Elephant Tusk.
The whole day of traveling deserves a delicious dinner. Then return to your comfortable hotel room and relax.

Day 9: Chengdu (B)

Check out from the hotel after a hearty breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your departing flight. The 9-day adventure comes to an end.
